Victoria Vega

My name is Victoria Vega and I grew up in Ontario, Oregon. I went to school, raised my three children here, and received my AA in Early Childhood Education at TVCC. Through hard work, determination, and the grace of God, I achieved what I am now as a single mother. I have had my struggles in life like others but have always had the Lord to help me and to see me through the happiest and hardest times in my journey through life.

I worked at Bi-Mart for 25 years before going back to school at the age of 50. I did my internship at MCCDC for 2 years and was then asked to apply for a teacher’s position by several of my colleagues. I worked there for 15 years and it was a wonderful journey with the MCCDC team. I feel now it’s time for a change in my life, so I’m happy to be joining the SPCS team to build new friendships and have new experiences.

I have a prayer I have always resorted to and would like to share; it comes from Psalms 18;2-3 which reads:

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
so I shall be saved from my enemies.”

I hope to join you this coming year as a co-worker and friend; to serve these children in a positive way and help educate their young minds. The Lord has opened this opportunity for me, and I would like to thank you and serve by your side.
